Esta vez os traigo para la sección “5 minutos con…” una exclusiva entrevista con uno de los Gurús del diseño publicitario y los “Motion graphics”, el gran Mattias Lindberg también conocido por su álter ego Fakepilot… Mattias cuenta entre sus clientes con verdaderas estrellas de la música y el cine, ha trabajado para grandes marcas y hoy le tenemos aquí para conocerle un poco más… espero que disfruteis de la entrevista, como en la anterior ocasión os la dejo en Inglés y en Español.

This time I bring you for the section ” 5 minutes with … ” an interview with one of the Gurus of the advertising design and the ” Motion graphics “, the great Mattias Lindberg also known like Fakepilot… Mattias has worked for real stars of the music and the cinema, for big brands, and today we have him here to know a bit more… I hope you enjoy it. Q: Who is Mattias Lindberg?
A: Born in Sweden, 30 years of age, have worked with design and animation for over 10 years now. I especially enjoy working with the web, but also some video and other stuff. For the last 2 years I have been starting up a new company together with some friends and colleagues. The company is named Menyou, we are planning to release an IT-service later this year.

Q: Why Fakepilot?
A: Found a russian MIG-29 fighter pilot helmet in an old communist souvenir store in old town, Stockholm, back in year 2000. What was first only an idea for a photo-shoot, soon turned into my own branding, website and alter ego. Fakepilot is the universal soldier, he is me and she is you. She is everyone, he is put in a situation or context that forces her to war.

Q: Who is the perfect client?
A: Ourselves. Work for yourself.

Q: Who is your favorite artist?
A: Why restrict it to a singular?

Q: Which is your favorite tool to work?
A: I love my new Macbook Pro. Software: Adobe Flash, Maxon Cinema 4D, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Keynote, Numbers, Pages, etc… The usual?

Q: You have many creative works… which do you get the greatest satisfaction from?
A: DUX. Creating a cinematic commercial without knowing how to do it. It’s very challenging and it was very fun. Everything from making the script and getting the job, to casting and directing, to editing and animating. Great fun. I do get a similar feeling from what I’m doing now, but instead creating a new company. Instead of doing creative stuff for someone else, it’s doing it for yourself and for everyone that will use our services.

Q: One thing to do before starting a new project.
A: Celebrate the previous project.

Q: What do you hope about the design world?
A: More power to creativity.

Q: What you’ll never be?
A: A lazy ignorant bastard.

Q: And at last… Say something to the beginners.
A: Don’t give up. Find what you love and keep on doing it. When someone tells you that your crap, work harder. Don’t judge, observe. Throw out your television, there’s a universe out there…

P: ¿Quién es Mattias Lindberg?
R: Nacido en Suecia, 30 años, he trabajado con el diseño y la animación durante más de 10 años. Sobre todo disfruto trabajando con webs, pero también vídeos y otrs soportes. Durante los últimos 2 años he estado empezando con una nueva empresa junto a algunos amigos y colegas. La empresa es llamada Menyou, planificamos lanzar nuestros servicios a más tardar este año.

P: ¿Por qué Fakepilot?
R: Encontré un casco de piloto de caza ruso MIG-29 en un viejo almacén comunista en Estocolmo, en el año 2000. Al principio era sólo una idea para fotografiar, pronto se convirtió en mi propia marca, sitio web y alter ego. Fakepilot es el soldado universal, él es yo y ella, eres tu. Ella es cada uno, Esta puesta en una situación o el contexto que la fuerza a la guerra.

P: ¿Cuál es el cliente perfecto?
R: Nosotros mismos. Trabajar para ti.

P: ¿Quién es tu artista favorito?
R: ¿Por qué restringirlo a uno solo?

P: ¿Cuáles son tus herramientas favoritas?
R: Me gusta mi nuevo Macbook Pro. Software: ¿Adobe Flash, Maxon Cinema 4D, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Keynote, Numbers, Pages, etc… lo habitual?

P: Tienes muchos trabajos creativos, ¿de cuál estás orgulloso?
R: DUX. Creación de un spot cinematográfico sin saber hacerlo. Es muy provocativo y esa es la diversión. Todo, hacer el script y conseguir el trabajo, el casting y dirección, la edición y la animación. Es muy divertido. Realmente consigo un sentimiento similar con mi proyecto actual, creando una nueva empresa. En vez de hacer la creatividad para alguien, lo hago para ti y para cada persona que usará nuestros servicios.

P: Algo que hacer antes de empezar un proyecto.
R: Celebrar el proyecto anterior.

P: ¿Qué esperas del mundo del diseño?
R: Más poder para la creatividad.

P: Algo que nunca serías
R: Un bastardo perezoso e ignorante.

P: Para terminar, dile algo a los que están empezando
R: No te rindas. Encuentra lo que te gusta y sigue haciéndolo. Cuando alguien te diga que tu trabajo es una mierda, trabaja aún más duro. No juzgues, observa. Tira tu televisión, hay un universo ahí fuera…
